. Francis of Assisi Parish, let’s walk to Mary! What do you say? The Shrine of Our Lady of Champion where Mary appeared 166 years ago is one of the designated places of pilgrimage in our diocese. It’s always a good time to visit, but there is no better time than Saturday, May 3, 2025 with the Walk to Mary done by the Diocese and other faithful throughout the country. I would like to invite you to join me and the parish on the Walk to Mary. The parish will be taking two buses for this pilgrimage. One bus will leave from Manitowoc early in the morning to begin the 21 mile walk at 7 AM from Saint Norbert College in De Pere. The second bus will leave late in the morning and head for Holy Cross Parish, Bay Settlement to join the pilgrimage for lunch at 11:30am and the final 7 miles of the walk. We will end the pilgrimage with Mass at the Shrine at 5:15pm and return to Manitowoc by bus.
How to register for our parish pilgrimage for the Walk to Mary: · First sign up on via the link on our parish website, or visit/call the parish office, to save a spot on the bus from St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo (1121 N. 14th St.) to the 21 mile or the 7 mile walk. Spots are limited. Deadline: Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025. · Then register yourself and/or your family or friends at walktomary.com · Choose the starting point: St. Norbert (21 miles) or Holy Cross Parish (7 miles). · The registration cost you will pay online. It is $25 for adults and $10 for students. This includes lunch and snacks and bathrooms along the way. · Respond as follows to the following questions: Riding bus back to start location?
