Corpus Christi Procession and Rosary (Sunday, June 22nd at 10AM; Marshall Campus to Waldo Campus) We will be celebrating Corpus Christi (the Solemnity of the Most Precious Body and Blood of Jesus).Following 9AM Mass, there will be a brief time of Eucharistic Adoration in the Marshall Church, with the procession beginning at about 10:30AM.Those interested in processing will leave the Marshall Campus, walking to the Waldo Campus, arriving by around 11:30AM.(Those who are unable to process but would still like to participate in the event are invited to gather at the Fatima Shrine outside the Waldo Campus at 11AM to pray the rosary.)There will be a food truck present following the procession (and remaining through and following the 12PM Mass in Spanish.)A bus will be available to take pilgrims back to the Marshall Campus at 12PM and 2PM. Calvary Cemetery Experience (Monday, June 23rd from 4:30-7:30PM; Calvary Cemetery) Join us for an evening at Calvary Cemetery.There will be an opportunity to paint rocks to be placed in Gianna’s garden, participate in a cemetery scavenger hunt, and enjoy a picnic dinner at the gravesites of your loved ones. Anointing Mass (Tuesday, June 24th at 5PM; Waldo Church) We will have the addition of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick as a part of our 5PM Mass this day.All in need of healing are especially welcome to attend.There will also be prayer shawls available and a brief social to follow. (Hosted by Prayer Shawl Ministry and our Liturgy staff.) St. Francis Begging Day (Wednesday, June 25th throughout the day) Help us collect new donation items to benefit local non-profits. Simply fill a bag with any of the items listed on our parish website and notify the office that you have items to collect, either by completing the form on our website or by calling the parish office.We will have volunteers picking up items. Donations can also be dropped off at the parish office any time between 9AM - 6:30PM.Donations will then be sorted and dropped off at local non-profts by the end of the week.You can find our list of items to donate on our website as well.
Steubenville Send-off (Thursday, June 26th at 8:15AM; Waldo Campus) We will have 40+ teens and chaperones departing for the Steubenville Joliet Catholic Youth Conference.You can pray with the group before their departure with Mass at 8:15AM at the Waldo Church. Pilgrimage Bus Trip (Thursday, June 26th at 8:30AM; Departing from the Waldo Campus) All are welcome to join us for a pilgrimage bus trip, going to the Shrine of Our Lady of Champion and the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.Lunch will be provided.A Lamers coach bus will be provided, but those willing to instead drive themselves may drive themselves.
St. Clare Rummage Sale and Bake Sale and Knights of Columbus Brat Fry (Friday, June 27th from 9AM-3PM and Saturday, June 28th from 9AM-1PM; Waldo Campus) The St. Clare Society will have their annual Rummage Sale and Bake Sale!Support the St. Clare Society in all the ways they support our parish and local community!Treasures await!The Knights of Columbus will simultaneously be having a brat fry!Don’t leave hungry. Play at the Park (Neshota Beach Park) Families with toddler or school-aged children are invited to join in our weekly Play at the Park gathering.This is a great opportunity for children to play together and see their friends over summer.As a part of our 20th Anniversary Celebrations, youth attending this week will receive some fun goodies and treats.(Hosted by Moms Ministry.) Game Night (Wednesday, July 2nd at 6PM, Waldo Social Hall) All are welcome to join in a family-friendly game night!Bring your own snacks to share.You are welcome to bring your own games, but we will also have many games and decks of cards as well!
